A self-hosted bookmark manager designed to be minimal, fast, and easy to set up
Incus is a next-generation system container, application container, and virtual machine manager.
It provides a user experience similar to that of a public cloud. With it, you can easily mix and match both containers and virtual machines, sharing the same underlying storage and network.
Incus is image based and provides images for a wide number of Linux distributions. It provides flexibility and scalability for various use cases, with support for different storage backends and network types and the option to install on hardware ranging from an individual laptop or cloud instance to a full server rack.
When using Incus, you can manage your instances (containers and VMs) with a simple command line tool, directly through the REST API or by using third-party tools and integrations. Incus implements a single REST API for both local and remote access.
The Incus project was created by Aleksa Sarai as a community driven alternative to Canonical's LXD.
Today, it's led and maintained by many of the same people that once created LXD.
Sway is a tiling Wayland compositor and a drop-in replacement for the i3 window manager for X11. It works with your existing i3 configuration and supports most of i3's features, plus a few extras.
Sway allows you to arrange your application windows logically, rather than spatially. Windows are arranged into a grid by default which maximizes the efficiency of your screen and can be quickly manipulated using only the keyboard.
Sway is documented via manpages. For a list of available manpages, refer to man -k sway.
We also maintain the wlroots project to provide a modular basis for Sway and other Wayland compositors to build upon, and we publish standards for interoperable Wayland desktops.

Reproducible
Nix builds packages in isolation from each other. This ensures that they
are reproducible and don't have undeclared dependencies, so if a package
works on one machine, it will also work on another. -
Declarative
Nix makes it trivial to share development and build environments for your
projects, regardless of what programming languages and tools you’re
using. -
Reliable
Nix ensures that installing or upgrading one package cannot break other
packages. It allows you to roll back to previous versions, and ensures that
no package is in an inconsistent state during an upgrade. -

unAsService is a command line tool that allows you to setup a regular console application to run as a service.
This tool requires that .NET Framework 4.5 be already installed on your computer. If you do not have .NET Framework 4.5 this tool will display a message and not run.
IMPORTANT: Any services you install using this tool will require that this tool remain on that computer in the same location in order for those services to continue functioning. Therefore before installing any services you should make sure this tool is somewhere where it can remain permanently. If you do end up moving this tool use the 'fixservices' action to fix the existing services. (details on how to use 'fixservices' can be found below)
RunAsService Typing just the name of the tool without specifying any parameters. Or specifying incorrect paramters will bring you to this help screen you are currently reading.
RunAsService install [Name] [Display Name] PathToExecutable [Args] Name The name of the service, if none is specified the name will default to the name of the executable.
nssm is a service helper which doesn't suck. srvany and other service helper programs suck because they don't handle failure of the application running as a service. If you use such a program you may see a service listed as started when in fact the application has died. nssm monitors the running service and will restart it if it dies. With nssm you know that if a service says it's running, it really is. Alternatively, if your application is well-behaved you can configure nssm to absolve all responsibility for restarting it and let Windows take care of recovery actions.
nssm logs its progress to the system Event Log so you can get some idea of why an application isn't behaving as it should.
nssm also features a graphical service installation and removal facility. Prior to version 2.19 it did suck. Now it's quite a bit better.
i3's interprocess communication (or ipc) is the interface i3wm uses to receive commands from client applications such as i3-msg. It also features a publish/subscribe mechanism for notifying interested parties of window manager events.
i3ipc-python is a Python library for controlling the window manager. This project is intended to be useful for general scripting, and for applications that interact with the window manager like status line generators, notification daemons, and window pagers.
If you have an idea for a script to extend i3wm, you can add your script to the examples folder.
For details on how to use the library, see the reference documentation.
Theo App is the authorized keys manager, you can use it as replacement for all of your authorized_keys It allows you to set fine permissions (specific user and host) or to use wildcard (ex, using host %.test.sample.com)
The sane way to manage software on Windows
- Chocolatey builds on technologies you know - unattended installation and PowerShell.
Chocolatey works with all existing software installation technologies like MSI, NSIS,
InnoSetup, etc, but also works with runtime binaries and zip archives. Go
Pro/Business to dial that experience up to 11! - Easily manage all aspects of Windows software (installation, configuration, upgrade,
and uninstallation). Chocolatey is the most reliable when software is included in the
package, but can also easily download resources. - Take advantage of PowerShell to provide automated software management instructions
and Chocolatey’s built-in module to turn complex tasks into one line function calls!
Slurm is an open source, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cluster management and job scheduling system for large and small Linux clusters. Slurm requires no kernel modifications for its operation and is relatively self-contained. As a cluster workload manager, Slurm has three key functions. First, it allocates exclusive and/or non-exclusive access to resources (compute nodes) to users for some duration of time so they can perform work. Second, it provides a framework for starting, executing, and monitoring work (normally a parallel job) on the set of allocated nodes. Finally, it arbitrates contention for resources by managing a queue of pending work. Optional plugins can be used for accounting, advanced reservation, gang scheduling (time sharing for parallel jobs), backfill scheduling, topology optimized resource selection, resource limits by user or bank account, and sophisticated multifactor job prioritization algorithms.
KeePassXC is a community fork of KeePassX, a native cross-platform port of KeePass Password Safe, with the goal to extend and improve it with new features and bugfixes to provide a feature-rich, fully cross-platform and modern open-source password manager.
The web is moving to HTTPS, preventing network attackers from observing or injecting page contents. But HTTPS needs TLS certificates, and while deployment is increasingly a solved issue thanks to the ACME protocol and Let's Encrypt, development still mostly ends up happening over HTTP because no one can get an universally valid certificate for localhost.
Helm helps you manage Kubernetes applications — Helm Charts helps you define, install, and upgrade even the most complex Kubernetes application.
Charts are easy to create, version, share, and publish — so start using Helm and stop the copy-and-paste madness.
The latest version of Helm is maintained by the CNCF - in collaboration with Microsoft, Google, Bitnami and the Helm contributor community.
nacho is a django based web application for managing ldap accounts and groups.
it provides a simple interface for account-registration, self service (editing
profile information) and password reset as well as an interface for
administration of accounts.
Password management should be simple and follow Unix philosophy. With pass, each password lives inside of a gpg encrypted file whose filename is the title of the website or resource that requires the password. These encrypted files may be organized into meaningful folder hierarchies, copied from computer to computer, and, in general, manipulated using standard command line file management utilities.
pass makes managing these individual password files extremely easy. All passwords live in ~/.password-store, and pass provides some nice commands for adding, editing, generating, and retrieving passwords. It is a very short and simple shell script. It's capable of temporarily putting passwords on your clipboard and tracking password changes using git.
You can edit the password store using ordinary unix shell commands alongside the pass command. There are no funky file formats or new paradigms to learn. There is bash completion so that you can simply hit tab to fill in names and commands, as well as completion for zsh and fish available in the completion folder. The very active community has produced many impressive clients and GUIs for other platforms as well as extensions for pass itself.
The pass command is extensively documented in its man page.
j4-dmenu-desktop is a replacement for i3-dmenu-desktop. It's purpose is to find .desktop files and offer you a menu to start an application using dmenu. Since r2.7 j4-dmenu-desktop doesn't require i3wm anymore and should work just fine on about any desktop environment.
You can also execute shell commands using it.
