The Azure SDK for Python is composed solely of many independent libraries, which are listed on the Python SDK package index.
All the libraries share certain common characteristics and usage patterns, such as installation and the use of inline JSON for object arguments.
This PostgreSQL Python section shows you how to work with the PostgreSQL database using the Python programming language.
Python has various database drivers for PostgreSQL. Currently, the psycopg is the most popular PostgreSQL database adapter for the Python language. The psycopg fully implements the Python DB-API 2.0 specification.
The current version of the psycopg is 2 or psycopg2. The psycopg2 database adapter implemented in C as a libpq wrapper resulting in both fast and secure. The psycopg2 provides many useful features such as client-side and server-side cursors, asynchronous notification and communication, COPY command support, etc.
Besides, the psycopg2 driver supports many Python types out-of-the-box. The psycopg2 matches Python objects to the PostgreSQL data types, e.g., list to the array, tuples to records, and dictionary to hstore. If you want to customize and extend the type adaption, you can use a flexible object adaption system.

amnesia wraps everything exposed by mnesia, from fragments to fragment hash, access and backup behaviors.
It provides a simplified table and database definition with some macros and allows you to use the nice Enum functions on tables by implementing the Enum.Iterator protocol.
Everything is documented and specced, even the unspecced and undocumented parts of mnesia that have been wrapped.
The documentation often refers to mnesia functions, I strongly suggest you read mnesia's documentation too, since it has a lot of valuable information.
At a high level, Mnesia is a Database Management System (DBMS) that is baked into OTP. Thus, if you are using Elixir or Erlang, you have the ability to leverage Mnesia out-of-the-box. No additional dependencies need to be installed and no separate systems need to be running. Before considering migrating everything from your existing database to Mnesia, let's discuss what Mnesia was designed for and what problems it aims to solve.
Mnesia was largely designed to solve the problems that existed in the telecommunications problem space. Specifically, some of the following requirements needed to be fulfilled (check out this research paper for more details):
-
Fast key/value lookup times where you need soft real-time latency guarantees. A soft real-time system is one where the system should be able to service the majority of its requests within a given time frame and a failure to do so generally means degradation of service (i.e the data is no longer useful after the time frame has passed). A hard real-time system, on the other hand, is a system that must respond within a given time frame or else it is considered a system failure.
-
The ability to perform complex queries (like you would in SQL for example), but without soft real-time latency guarantees
-
A high level of fault tolerance
Podman uses two different means for its networking stack, depending on whether the container is rootless or rootfull. When rootfull, defined as being run by the root (or equivalent) user, Podman primarily relies on the containernetworking plugins project. When rootless, defined as being run by a regular user, Podman uses the slirp4netns project.
#Networking and Podman pods
By definition, all containers in a Podman pod share the same network namespace. This fact means that they will have the same IP address, MAC addresses, and port mappings. You can conveniently communicate between containers in a pod by using localhost.
It seems once people master the basics of containers, networking is one of the first aspects they begin experimenting with. And regarding networking, it takes very little experimentation before ending up on the deep end of the pool. The following guide shows the most common network setups for Podman rootful and rootless containers. Each setup is supported with an example.
PDF, eBook (epub, mobi), comic book (cbz/cbr), DjVu, XPS, CHM, image viewer for Windows. Small, fast, customizable, free.
jq is like sed for JSON data - you can use it to slice and filter and map and transform structured data with the same ease that sed, awk, grep and friends let you play with text.
Provides cmdlets for automated administration of the vSphere environment.
You can configure an alarm to run a script or a command in the vSphere Web Client when the alarm is triggered.
Use the alarm environment variables to define complex scripts and attach them to multiple alarms or inventory objects. For example, you can write a script that enters the following trouble ticket information into an external system when an alarm is triggered:
- Alarm name
- Object on which the alarm was triggered
- Event that triggered the alarm
- Alarm trigger values
When you write the script, include the following environment variables in the script:
- VMWARE_ALARM_NAME
- VMWARE_ALARM_TARGET_NAME
- VMWARE_ALARM_EVENTDESCRIPTION
- VMWARE_ALARM_ALARMVALUE
You can attach the script to any alarm on any object without changing the script.
The script runs on the vCenter Server machine, and it runs even if you close the vSphere Web Client.

HAProxy is a free, very fast and reliable reverse-proxy offering high availability, load balancing, and proxying for TCP and HTTP-based applications. It is particularly suited for very high traffic web sites and powers a significant portion of the world's most visited ones. Over the years it has become the de-facto standard opensource load balancer, is now shipped with most mainstream Linux distributions, and is often deployed by default in cloud platforms. Since it does not advertise itself, we only know it's used when the admins report it :-)
The HAProxy core team maintains multiple versions in parallel. Since version 1.8, two major version are emitted every year. The first digit usually indicates a breaking change (config format etc) but in practice rarely changes. The second digit indicates new features. Both constitute a branch. One extra number appears after these digits to indicate the bug fix release.
Open Source Identity and Access Management
Add authentication to applications and secure services with minimum effort.
No need to deal with storing users or authenticating users.
Keycloak provides user federation, strong authentication, user management, fine-grained authorization, and more.
OpenID Connect is a simple identity layer built on top of the OAuth 2.0 protocol, which allows clients to verify the identity of an end user based on the authentication performed by an authorization server or identity provider (IdP), as well as to obtain basic profile information about the end user in an interoperable and REST-like manner. OpenID Connect specifies a RESTful HTTP API, using JSON as a data format.
OpenID Connect is an increasingly common authentication protocol: when an app prompts you to authenticate using your Facebook or Google+ credentials, the app is probably using OpenID Connect.
OpenID Connect allows a range of clients, including web-based, mobile, and JavaScript clients, to request and receive information about authenticated sessions and end-users.
OneLogin provides a custom connector option that makes it easy to configure your OpenID Connect-enabled app to use OneLogin as the Identity Provider (IdP) in an OpenID Connect flow.

VSCodium is a community-driven, freely-licensed binary distribution of Microsoft’s editor VSCode
Microsoft’s vscode source code is open source (MIT-licensed), but the the product available for download (Visual Studio Code) is licensed under this not-FLOSS license and contains telemetry/tracking.
This is not a fork. This is a repository of scripts to automatically build Microsoft's vscode repository into freely-licensed binaries with a community-driven default configuration.
For the longest time, the default branch in most Git repositories was named "master". Fortunately, many people have become aware that this terminology (even more evident in "master/slave") should be replaced! The tech industry should move to a more inclusive, open culture - and removing language like "master/slave" is an important step in this journey.
In the public discussion, a handful of different alternatives for "master" have popped up, "default" and "primary" being some of them. But the most popular term seems to be "main".
This short article will help you rename "master" in your own Git repositories to "main" (or any other term your team has chosen).
git branch -m master main
git push -u origin main
git push origin --delete master
Teammates:
git checkout master
git branch -m master main
git fetch
git branch --unset-upstream
git branch -u origin/mainThis repo hosts the containers.podman Ansible Collection.
The collection includes the Podman container plugins to help the build and management of Podman containers.
Documentation
For collection versions that are parts of Ansible releases, the documentation can be found on Ansible docs site: https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/containers/podman
The latest documentation for current collection version in the repository is hosted on github.io docs site: https://containers.github.io/ansible-podman-collections.
Docker can build images automatically by reading the instructions from a Dockerfile. A Dockerfile is a text document that contains all the commands a user could call on the command line to assemble an image. Using docker build users can create an automated build that executes several command-line instructions in succession.
This page describes the commands you can use in a Dockerfile. When you are done reading this page, refer to the Dockerfile Best Practices for a tip-oriented guide.
