NooBaa is a highly customizable and dynamic data gateway for objects, providing data services such as caching, tiering, mirroring, dedup, encryption, compression, over any storage resource including S3, GCS, Azure Blob, Filesystems, etc.
The goal is to simplify data flows for admins by connecting to any of the storage silos from private or public clouds, and providing a single scalable data services, using the same S3 API and management tools. NooBaa allows full control over data placement with dynamic policies per bucket or account.
The Gateway API project is the successor to the Ingress API. However, it does not include the Ingress resource (the closest parallel is the HTTPRoute). As a result, a one-time conversion from your existing Ingress resources to the relevant Gateway API resources is necessary.
This guide will help you with the conversion. It will:
- Explain why you may want to switch to the Gateway API.
- Describe the key differences between the Ingress API and the Gateway API.
- Map Ingress features to Gateway API features.
- Show an example of an Ingress resource converted to Gateway API resources.
- Mention ingress2gateway for automatic conversion.
At the same time, it will not prepare you for a live migration or explain how to convert some implementation-specific features of your Ingress controller. Additionally, since the Ingress API only covers HTTP/HTTPS traffic, this guide does not cover the Gateway API support for other protocols.
The CoMatrix project enables the usage of the Matrix protocol (more precisely Matrix Client-Server API [0]) for constrained IoT devices via CoAP [1] and CBOR [2] in a constrained network (e.g. a 802.15.4/6LoWPAN network [3]).
The architecture of the Matrix protocol is based on HTTP/REST/JSON/TLS and is therefore not suitable for constrained devices. CoMatrix provides a gateway, which ports Matrix to CoAP/CBOR/(DTLS). This gateway communicates with constrained IoT devices on one side via CoAP+CBOR and translates to the Matrix protocol on the other side (i.e. HTTP+JSON). We also provide a CoMatrix client library (for RIOT-OS [4]) which provides a starting point to implement CoAP clients (for constrained devices) which are able to interact with Matrix homeservers via the gateway.
Apache APISIX is a dynamic, real-time, high-performance API gateway.
APISIX provides rich traffic management features such as load balancing, dynamic upstream, canary release, circuit breaking, authentication, observability, and more.
You can use Apache APISIX to handle traditional north-south traffic, as well as east-west traffic between services. It can also be used as a k8s ingress controller.
