The Guide to IP Layer Network Administration with Linux was conceived as a project to document and provide examples for the use of Linux-specific IP networking tools.
The book includes coverage of the following topics: network address translation (NAT), address resolution protocol (ARP), routing, and masquerading. There is a nascent section on bridging, although the focus of the documentation is the use of layer 3 Linux technologies.
Modeled after documents hosted at TLDP, this effort is a contribution to the Linux community undertaken of free will and in free time. I intend to release the completed guide to TLDP for inclusion in the documentation repository.
In PART 2, we are going to look at how to write simple playbooks, specifically we will learn about: Tasks, Handlers, Roles, Templates and Variables
For this scenario, the playbook that we are going to create will simply install and configure Apache web server (httpd) on the remote host. The main purpose of this tutorial however is to learn how to write playbooks effectively and correctly. So without further adieu, lets get started!
Ansible is a really powerful and useful tool when it comes to automating IT infrastructure. It is an easy to use configuration management system that can be used to automate and organize your system configuration tasks for a large network of computers.
