Häufig ist auf herkömmlichen Android-Geräten eine Menge an Bloatware vorinstalliert – also Apps die man nicht braucht und gerne loswerden möchte. Viele Nutzer glauben man bräuchte dazu Root-Rechte. Dem ist allerdings nicht so. Ihr müsst lediglich den sog. Developer-Mode (Entwickleroptionen) aktivieren und euer Android-Gerät via USB-Kabel mit dem PC verbinden. Danach könnt ihr euer System über die Android Debug Bridge (adb) ansprechen.
Three weeks ago I blogged about how to get rid of non-free Google services and moving to free software on my Android phone. As this is obviously important to many people, I want to tie up some lose ends and publish the results of these discussions.
The Open GApps Project is an open-source effort to script the automatic generation of up-to-date Google Apps packages.
