The CoMatrix project enables the usage of the Matrix protocol (more precisely Matrix Client-Server API [0]) for constrained IoT devices via CoAP [1] and CBOR [2] in a constrained network (e.g. a 802.15.4/6LoWPAN network [3]).
The architecture of the Matrix protocol is based on HTTP/REST/JSON/TLS and is therefore not suitable for constrained devices. CoMatrix provides a gateway, which ports Matrix to CoAP/CBOR/(DTLS). This gateway communicates with constrained IoT devices on one side via CoAP+CBOR and translates to the Matrix protocol on the other side (i.e. HTTP+JSON). We also provide a CoMatrix client library (for RIOT-OS [4]) which provides a starting point to implement CoAP clients (for constrained devices) which are able to interact with Matrix homeservers via the gateway.
Network automation to screen-scraping devices is primarily concerned with gathering output from show commands and with making configuration changes.
Netmiko aims to accomplish both of these operations and to do it across a very broad set of platforms. It seeks to do this while abstracting away low-level state control (i.e. eliminate low-level regex pattern matching to the extent practical).
Nornir is an automation framework written in python to be used with python. Most automation frameworks hide the language they are written in by using some cumbersome pseudo-language which usually is almost Turing complete, but lacks tooling to debug and troubleshoot. Integrating with other systems is also usually quite hard as they usually have complex APIs if any at all. Some of the other common problems of those pseudo-languages is that are usually quite bad at dealing with data and re-usability is limited.
Nornir aims to solve those problems by providing a pure python framework. Just imagine Nornir as the Flask of automation. Nornir will take care of dealing with the inventory where you have your host information, it will take care of dispatching the tasks to your devices and will provide a common framework to write “plugins”.
Im Hintergrund lief leise The Grateful Dead.
PyOTP is a Python library for generating and verifying one-time passwords. It can be used to implement two-factor (2FA) or multi-factor (MFA) authentication methods in web applications and in other systems that require users to log in.
Open MFA standards are defined in RFC 4226 (HOTP: An HMAC-Based One-Time Password Algorithm) and in RFC 6238 (TOTP: Time-Based One-Time Password Algorithm). PyOTP implements server-side support for both of these standards. Client-side support can be enabled by sending authentication codes to users over SMS or email (HOTP) or, for TOTP, by instructing users to use Google Authenticator, Authy, or another compatible app. Users can set up auth tokens in their apps easily by using their phone camera to scan otpauth:// QR codes provided by PyOTP.
You can call him Stoprak or Master of Braking. Up to you😂
There’s an amazing amount of data available on the Web. Many web services, like YouTube and GitHub, make their data accessible to third-party applications through an application programming interface (API). One of the most popular ways to build APIs is the REST architecture style. Python provides some great tools not only to get data from REST APIs but also to build your own Python REST APIs.
In this tutorial, you’ll learn:
- What REST architecture is
- How REST APIs provide access to web data
- How to consume data from REST APIs using the requests library
- What steps to take to build a REST API
- What some popular Python tools are for building REST APIs
By using Python and REST APIs, you can retrieve, parse, update, and manipulate the data provided by any web service you’re interested in.

bpftrace is a new open source tracer for Linux for analyzing production performance problems and troubleshooting software. It is used by and has had contributions from many companies including Netfilx, Facebook, Red Hat, Shopify, and others. It was created by Alastair Robertson, a talented UK-based developer who has previously won various coding competitions.
Linux already has many performance tools, but these are often counter-based and have limited visibility. For example, iostat(1), or a monitoring agent, may tell you your average disk latency, but not the distribution of this latency. Distributions can reveal multiple modes, or outliers, either of which may be the real cause of your performance problems. bpftrace is suited for this kind of analysis: decomposing metrics into distributions or per-event logs, and creating new metrics for visibility into blind spots.
This teaches you bpftrace for Linux in 12 easy lessons, where each lesson is a one-liner you can try running. This series of one-liners introduces concepts which are summarized as bullet points. For a full reference to bpftrace, see the Man page

Click is a Python package for creating beautiful command line interfaces in a composable way with as little code as necessary. It’s the “Command Line Interface Creation Kit”. It’s highly configurable but comes with sensible defaults out of the box.
It aims to make the process of writing command line tools quick and fun while also preventing any frustration caused by the inability to implement an intended CLI API.
Click in three points:
-
arbitrary nesting of commands
-
automatic help page generation
-
supports lazy loading of subcommands at runtime
#CBRFIREBLADE Ushering in back in 1992, the Fireblade aimed to re-design what Supersport meant, taking the direction of the class and turning it onto refined handling, aggressive looks and maximising your control out on the road. Total Control, a statement that became somewhat a design goal of the Honda team.
But with over 25 years in the market, they must have succeeded. Recently releasing an all-new CBR1000RR Fireblade, Honda have succeeded in maintaining their core design philosophy - Total Control.
Here is the EVOLUTION of the beloved Honda Fireblade sportbike. And you guys can compare the change and improvement each Fireblade from the first generation until newest generation. #HondaCBR
#Superbike In 1998 the YZF-R1 revolutionised the supersport world. Over its 20-year evolution, this breakthrough machine went from being the “Fastest on Twisty Roads” to the “Fastest on the Racetrack”, not only delivering speed and power but also staying a step ahead of the times. The YZF-R1 demonstrated its prowess and potential by winning races around the world. Here, we look back on two decades of the #R1 through summaries of each model iteration, the R1’s numerous accolades in several racing series and some stories from its long racing history. #YZFR1
As enterprises accelerate their digital strategies, adoption of hybrid or multi-cloud architectures are becoming the new norm, requiring a fundamental shift in how infrastructure is provisioned and managed. When managing secure administration access to Unix-like servers, SSH is still the standard connectivity method. However, it does come with challenges and risks, especially in relation to key management.
Fabio is an HTTP and TCP reverse proxy that configures itself with data from Consul.
Traditional load balancers and reverse proxies need to be configured with a config file. The configuration contains the hostnames and paths the proxy is forwarding to upstream services. This process can be automated with tools like consul-template that generate config files and trigger a reload.
Fabio works differently since it updates its routing table directly from the data stored in Consul as soon as there is a change and without restart or reloading.
When you register a service in Consul all you need to add is a tag that announces the paths the upstream service accepts, e.g. urlprefix-/user or urlprefix-/order and fabio will do the rest.
The most basic set of Multiband RTK receiver + Multiband antenna to believe it is possible to achieve centimeter level at an affordable cost. Choose between the larger size and more flexible simpleRTK2B or the ultracompact simpleRTK2Blite for size critical projects. They can be configured as base or rover.
Providers are a logical abstraction of an upstream API. They are responsible for understanding API interactions and exposing resources.
Firejail is a SUID program that reduces the risk of security breaches by restricting the running environment of untrusted applications using Linux namespaces and seccomp-bpf. It allows a process and all its descendants to have their own private view of the globally shared kernel resources, such as the network stack, process table, mount table.
Written in C with virtually no dependencies, the software runs on any Linux computer with a 3.x kernel version or newer. The sandbox is lightweight, the overhead is low. There are no complicated configuration files to edit, no socket connections open, no daemons running in the background. All security features are implemented directly in Linux kernel and available on any Linux computer. The program is released under GPL v2 license.
Firejail can sandbox any type of processes: servers, graphical applications, and even user login sessions. The software includes security profiles for a large number of Linux programs: Mozilla Firefox, Chromium, VLC, Transmission etc. To start the sandbox, prefix your command with “firejail”:
